Massage is a manipulation of the muscles and soft tissues of the body to reduce tension, stretch ligaments and tendons to keep them flexible, flush out toxins and promote balance in the body and mind. Benefits include improved circulation, improved skin and muscle condition, improved joint mobility, reduced oedema, stimulated digestion, uplifted emotional state and reduced insomnia.
The therapist will use different movements and pressure, depending on the desired effects, and can give more attention to specific areas to ensure the treatment is suited to the client's individual needs.
The duration of the treatment may vary from 30 minutes, during which the therapist would concentrate on one or two areas, up to 90 or 120 minutes, which would allow time for a full body massage.
Stress Relief Massage
A relaxing full body massage aimed at reducing stress, gently releasing tension from the muscles and improving overall well-being.
Deep Tissue Massage
This is our most popular treatment offering a firmer massage using deeper pressure and a wide variety of techniques, including stretching, to break down scar tissue, release pain, improve flexibility, help prevent injury and reduce muscle tension, particularly in the neck and shoulders, which can be caused by poor posture or stress and overuse of muscles.
Aromatherapy
The aim is a relaxing treatment with the use of essential oils. The therapist will select and blend the oils to cater to the individual needs of the client and applies them during the massage. The therapeutic qualities of the oils, combined with the beneficial actions of the massage can be used in the treatment of fatigue, anxiety, stress, tension, PMS, IBS and skin conditions.
